In the case of your keyboard, I would suggest pressing the ‘Enter/Return’ button several times after entering the passphrase shown on your screen.
This involves clicking: Bluetooth icon in menu bar > Set up Bluetooth Device > Select Bluetooth device > Follow on-screen instructions.
